The Project EDUCA – Education for Development Upgrade Children in Action – is approaching its final phase. The final event will be opened to the whole citizens and will also be attended by delegations from the three cities involved in the Project. The event will take place in Reggio Emilia, Italy on Monday 27th of April at 9.00 a.m.
The second International Project Meeting has started in Belo Horizonte. Politicians, Teachers and Civil Society Organizations representatives of the three cities involved in the project, Reggio Emili, Pemba and Belo Horizonte, are present.
It will take place in Belo Horizonte , Brazil, from the next 28th to 30th of April, the second International Meeting scheduled by the Project EDUCA . After the Reggio Emilia Kick Off Meeting of May 2012, the meeting of Belo Horizonte will give again the opportunity to the 3 project partners cities to come together to strengthen and reaffirm, through the dialogue and confrontation, the commitment of the 3 Local Authorities and of the Community in the field of education.
EDUCA Project has been selected by the Delegation of Latin America ‘”International Association of Educating Cities,” as one of the three meaningful educational experiences in the city of Belo Horizonte to be presented at the First Meeting of the Latin American Educating City, which will be helded in Rosario (Argentina) from 3 to 5 September 2013.
On 1 and 2 June 2013 Reggio Emilia has been the scene of Reggionarra, 2013, the final phase and public event public event of the first EDUCA project pilot action in Reggio Emilia.
The city of Reggio Emilia became for two days the “capital” of the narrative and of the rediscovery of imagination and creativity, with a calendar of events and activities in many places of the city.
The experience of EDUCA Project has been presented by Isa T. F. Rodrigues da Silva, coordinator of the project for the Department of Education of the City of Belo Horizonte, in the’ meeting of the Brazilian Network of Cities Educating entitled “Educating City: local actions, global values”, helded in Sorocaba , São Paulo, June 20, 2013.
In the historical district of Paquite Quete in Pemba took place today a forum with the four Comunitarian Fishing Associations. The objective of the forum, which will meet weekly for the next 4 weeks, is to collect theoretical and practical information related to fishing activity, predominant economic activity in Paquite Quete.
