Educational relation

On the final day of the series of meetings of Educa, Thursday, May 10, 2012, have been made final comments and objectives by the delegations of Mozambique, Brazil and Reggio Emilia.

Serena Foracchia, Reggio Children Board: “This is the day of conclusion of the meetings but it is also the day of the next stages of construction. The next steps planned are visits to Mozambique and Brazil, for other times of mutual comparison. There has to be part of all local authorities in three areas the effort to ensure an educational community, to open education to the community, always present for an opening to ideas and suggestions. “

Mrs. Evaristo Macaè, Municipal Councillor for Public Education in Belo Horizonte: “First of all thank you for the opportunity that was given to us. During these three days of meetings was really exciting to feel more in tune with two different realities, share experiences and practical aspects of management education. Perhaps it was privileged educational aspect to the management, but it is also important to think about management strategies to improve their technical skills, thus deepening the management aspect. Two dimensions of the project: research and improvement of processes. As regards the first, there is the importance of developing strategies of observation and the involvement of families in the educational process. Regarding the second dimension: two levels of action, one on a micro-territory, with four levels of activities (workshops with families on the educational process, listen to the voice of children, arts and leisure activities, involvement of the whole community enlarged) and the other across the west area(family-school-community forums and listen to the voice of children and adolescents). I conclude by saying that here in Reggio we felt at home. “

The Mayor of Pemba Mr. Tagir Assimo Carimo grateful for the way they were accepted: “I want to thank everyone for the welcome and the personal point of view it is as if I had always been part of the history of Reggio Emilia although I entered recently in the relations between these realities, with my new term as Mayor. The essence of the project is very nice indeed, different models of education from which you can learn a lot. In Pemba we must invest and bet on education “.

Mrs. Rosa Vani Pereira: “It ‘s hard to find words, we have seen so many beautiful things that we learn and make our own. Many programs can not be realized because of various obstacles, but we will continue to struggle and strive to achieve them. Very important is to take the positive things that offers the diversity and exchange, considering the different realities of each region.

Intervention by the Councillor for Education Iuna Sassi: “I carry a personal passion as well as policy in these projects. What we can actually propose? A relationship between the integrated school in Belo Horizonte and our school full time and afternoon workshops. In Pemba the goal should be to open 1-2 kindergartens or nursery schools and involve women, mothers into education and the whole city, to capture the mothers’ awareness of educational values and on other issues such as nutrition. Another goal might be to create Get support for social and cultural situations of fragility, to remove children and young people from the street.
